The foundation for the Children's Hospice Sternenbrücke is the institution of the children's hospice Sternenbrücke in Hamburg-Rissen. The foundation's mission is realised by maintaining a hospice for the accomodation and care of children, youths and young adults being, due to the severity of their disease, highly in need of care and without any hope for cure and who partly have a low life-expectancy. Furthermore, the hospice offers accomodation and therapeutical entourage for their families. With the help of external donations, the interest earnings of the foundation shall contribute to the maintenance of the children's hospice. The booster club for the children's hospice Sternenbrücke additionally raises funds for the going concern.
