Health workers or mothers can give the paste themselves to the children, they do not have to go to the hospital. UNICEF has supported the producers of peanut paste for the past years, especially in developing countries. UNICEF is the main distributor of the highly effective additional nutrition worldwide. A child suffering from consumption gets the treatment within several weeks and gets about 150 packages of peanut paste during this time. Then, it has regained its strength. In one package of peanut paste, there are 500 large calories.
