Deutsche KinderKrebshilfe Foundation
The Deutsche KinderKrebshilfe Foundation of the Deutsche Krebshilfe was founded in 1996. The Deutsche KinderKrebshilfe campaigns for the battle against cancer in infancy. The boosted projects are for example the building and extension of children's cancer centres, the development of new therapies and the building of parents' houses and apartments near the clinics. The Deutsche Krebshilfe and the Deutsche KinderKrebshilfe are currently funding almost all ongoing therapie studies for children. The success of continuously improving treatment concepts is impressive: for three decades, the diagnosis of leukaemia was nearly a death sentence for children. Today, almost 80 per cent of the small patients survive the disease.
