NEVER PLAY ALONE – St. Pauli e.V.
NEVER PLAY ALONE – St. Pauli e.V. is a uinon of nine players of the 1st men's team of St. Pauli Handball, breaking down the barriers between different cultures and thus making the world a little better. The association was founded in June 2018, when the overwhelming experiences of a self-organised handball workshop in Rwanda convinced the theam to strengthen the sportive bridge between different cultures in order to motivate others to go the same way.
Even if the campaign has never been planned as an infrastructural development project, the plan is now to raise funds not only for the sportive exchange, but also for the construction of drinking fountains, as an athlete can only perform when sufficient water is available. The association thus understads the creation of a working drinking water supply as a base for successful sports development. NEVER PLAY ALONE for example works together with local partners, like the Gorillas Handball Academy and the NGO Agro Action Rwanda (AAR).
