Having fun playing and the wish to share his experiences with children and youths, led to the foundation of the Dirk Nowitzki Foundation in 2005. The Dirk Nowitzki Foundation helps children and youths to make the best of their possibilities and to realise and develop their potentials. With the help of sports and play, they learn being a community and they develop social competencies in a playful way. The foundation's work gives them chances and shows them possibilities to get who they want to be.
