Deutsche AIDS-Stiftung
For more than 10 years, the Deutsche AIDS-Stiftung (German AIDS Foundation) supports the DREAM programme in Mozambique. Thanks to DREAM, even in one of the poorest countries in Africa, pregnant women with HIV are able to give birth to healthy children and offer them a real life perspective. More than 98 out of 100 babies are born HIV negative. Mothers and children are for example supported in DREAM centres in the city of Beira. In March of 2019, Beira was hit by the cyclone Idai. Still, the situation is disastrous. Miserably, the DREAM centres have been severely damaged as well. In order rebuild the damaged centres as quickly as possible, the foundation needs help. That's the only way the DREAM staff can continue its work and provide pregnant, HIV positive women with drugs.
