skate-aid e.V. is a non-profit organisation from Münster, founded in 2009 by Titus Dittmann. skate-aid initiates and funds currently children's and youths projects in 17 countries worldwide. The projects are following an extensive approach of youth welfare and development cooperation by offering the identity-forming skateboarding and makes fun on four rolls possible. skate-aid supports the children in their development, offers them orientation help, contributes to gender equality and boosts the self-confidence, the conscience of community, the self-responsibility and determination with the paedagogical power of skateboarding.

Skateboarding is an individual sport and at the same time, youth culture. It builds a common language, independent from the social or ethnical origin, language, religion, nationality, culture or gender. Skateboarding is global and universal. It does neither know borders nor war, skin colour or hatred, poor or rich. 

In this way, the association achieves what sounds self-evident, but often is not: to enable children to have a real childhood, with fun, energy and boisterousness.
