The Bundesverband Kinderhospiz represents numerous inpatient and ambulant children's hospices in Germany. It is publicly boosting for the taboo topic "children and death" and for integrating concerned children and families to society. In Germany, about 40,000 children and youths live with life-shortening diseases. Annually, ca. 5,000 children, youths and young adults die on such diseases. The Bundesverband Kinderhospiz e.V. was founded in 2002 by ambulant and inpatient children's hospices and is an acknowledged charitable association. As roofing bond, it represents the interests of its members nationally and internationally. As a professional association, it is the contact for politics, science, doctors, clinics, sponsors and donators.
