FLY & HELP: Thyolo
Millions of children, especially in rural districs, cannot attend school or have to cover a distance of 5 to 8 kilometres for going to school. In the district Thyolo, between Blantyre and Zomba in the south of Malawi, the construction of a school is urgently needed. There is no school in a radius of 10 km. The school minister, Dr. Emmanuel Fabiano, recommended to build there a primary school for eight classes and eight school years. Additionally, the building shall have a library, a room for the head teacher and a teacher's room. Furthermore, there should be two toilet rooms for pupils and teachers. 200 forms for 400 pupils (usually, 50 children are in one class) and furniture for the teachers as well as school material for the grades 1 to 8 are needed.
